Look carefully and you will see I am clutching that cup of coffee like my life depended on it - you can’t see my hands shaking if I’m holding something 🤣
Anyway, it’s done. I can finally put a tick in the box next to ‘start a podcast’ and I am thrilled to announce the very first episode of the Everyday Knitter podcast - with huge thanks to
for her support and cheerleading. It’s only short - at just under 10 minutes - but hopefully it will give you a flavour of the type of content I am aiming for in what I hope will be a monthly series.
I will try to mention and give links for the things I have talked about here but if I have missed anything do let me know.
WEARING: The Ankers cardigan by Petite Knits in Frangipani 5ply Guernsey wool from Ewe and Ply. It’s super warm and perfect for colder winter days.
READING: Throne of Jade by Naomi Novik (Book 2 of the Temeraire series)
SHOPPING: Two skeins of gorgeous sockweight yarn from Skein Queen. Both are her Crush base - a 75%/25% blend of superwash merino and nylon. Colourways are Abyss and Antique Map
KNITTING: A pair of self stripe toe-up socks in Urth Yarns Uneek sock kit. I totally forgot to mention that these are knit as long sock tubes and I will add an afterthought heel in later. In case you think I am knitting for freakishly long feet.
DESIGNING: I am firmly in sock knitting mode and aiming to knit and release a new sock pattern for each of the New Moons in 2025. So far we have Wolf Moon (toe-up) and Snow Moon (cuff down).
