I can't meditate for toffee, and I don't have a 'mind's eye'

I'm famously bad at meditation.
I have trouble sitting still for any period of time.
I don't have a "minds eye" and can't visualise things no matter how hard I try.
I generally end up grumpy, twitchy and stressed after a few minutes.

But, increasingly I'm finding that a few minutes knitting and reflecting after I draw my morning tarot card is my version of meditation.

It keeps me away from the temptation of the morning scroll for one thing.

But a few minutes knitting and then journaling really helps me to clear my mind and focus on what I need to do today, rather than getting distracted by a million shiny things online.

The knitting gives my fingers and body something to do while my brain gets to work I guess.

Either way, it may not look much like morning meditation but it works for me.

I guess doing for a walk would have the same effect (and I'll probably do that later) but I have to have my morning coffee first ☕ and this is one activity that I can do whilst getting my caffeine fix.
