If you saw my last post where I announced my Summer of Books and Yarn readalong, this is the post with the prompts you will have been waiting for.
If you didn’t see it - you can jump in here and find out more.
We start on Monday July 22nd and as in previous years, we have six weeks and six book prompts to work with. The idea is to try and read from your to-be-read pile as much as possible and you can be as creative as you like with the prompts to get them to fit - I’m a huge fan of the tenuous link. The more tenuous the better.
You can also play a wildcard at any time if you are struggling to fit a particular book into a prompt or you just fancy something different.
So, without further ado the book prompts are as follows:
Every Monday around 9am I’ll release a post here and you’ll also get it in your email inbox if you choose to get Substack posts that way. We can all share what book we have picked for that week’s prompt - Week 1 will be a book with more than 300 pages, for example. That way you can get some inspiration for a read if you are struggling, or simply get some ideas for future reads.
If you are a paid member of my community here please scroll down for some additional resources, including an exclusive link to the reading challenge on Storygraph and a Notion reading board if you prefer to plan that way.
If you are new to Storygraph it works a little bit like Goodreads (but better, in my opinion 🤣). I’ve created a prompt for each week so you can go through and add in the books you’ll be reading to match that prompt. You’ll also be able to see what other members are reading for that weeks challenge - in case you are stuck for inspiration.'
If you aren’t a paid member here but would like to be you can take advantage of the 7-day free trial to check us out and access the reading challenge resources - I hope you’ll like it and want to stick around.
