It's a lesson I wish I'd learned years ago, but at the same time I don't think it's possible to really get to know yourself until you've been through the mill a few times
I actually remember the first time I heard myself in an argument. Early 20's! I wondered where I had come up with what I had just said. My answer made me sad, but it was/is not uncommon. I was repeating words that I had heard my parents say in their arguments. That got me started listening to myself, hopefully before I opened my mouth. I also remember sitting on a stack of hay bales realizing that I loved 'nature'. But I knew nothing about it. I was only looking at the surface with names/words for things like trees and bushes. I spent a summer getting to know my surroundings a bit better and have really never stopped learning about human beings, myself and nature.
I love this insight Sandy, and yes I often hear my parents words coming out of my mouth... or I did, I guess over the years I've come to be way more me... there's so much growth to be found if we look 💫
Really enjoyed enjoyed reading this - very intrigued by the Cocoon Weaver app, have downloaded it to try out. Also love Sarah's advice to her younger self too, it's really soothing to read that advice, can relate to it a lot!
Ah thank you Jenna :) mmm I think that looking after our younger selves is one of the most nurturing things we can do - and enjoy the app! Do let me know if / how you use it.
Hey Louise, thanks for the brew! I loved being invited into your space to share and hopefully I can return the favour and have you over to my place sometime too ;)
Isn’t it fascinating how much more we dig into ourselves just when someone asks us a question… and really listens to the answer! I love being asked to reflect - but I do think I’ve got more comfortable with this in recent years!
Love Sarah's answer to #5!!!! Totally agree. Getting to know yourself and then trusting yourself can take you far.

I have asked my library to get Karen Curry Parker’s Understanding Human Design. Sounds very interesting. Be well in 2024!✨
Oh enjoy!! I’d love to hear what you think :) 🌟
What a lovely treat to be a fly on the wall at your coffee date.
