A moment of laughter. Managed to trail a WIP yarn from car right across muddy farmyard car park and into their cafe - stopped the traffic earlier this year. Had to do the wind of shame much to the amusement of other customers. Suffice it to say hubby was in cafe ordering quantities of cake to avoid the pantomime

I always pack the knitting first. People will wait for clothes, but grow nasty impatient for the knitting. Socks, and a shawl

Just packed part of an afghan I’m crocheting for a road trip from Florida to Chicago to see family. I wish I could crochet socks! It was too big to work on in the car and we were too busy with family. Sigh. But as soon as I’m unpacked …….

You’ll have a lovely time I’m sure! Knitting is always the first thing I think about when packing for a holiday. I’m always of the opinion that wherever we go, other people live there, so there has to be shops where they buy things. So if something has been left behind we can buy a replacement. It’s only happened once when my husband packed his old saggy, barely decent swimming shorts… luckily we didn’t need to go far to get a more suitable pair!
