I agree, my Substack feed seems full of warm thoughts compared to the rest of the internet these days. I love recommendation posts and finding new folks to read.
I fully expected to be sad when both mine left. But instead although I do miss them it feels in a way liberating to not have teenage grumpiness and to be able to do things we liked and they didn’t. And the random chat texts are all the sweeter, as are the visits home.
And I couldn’t agree more about the warm thoughts, such a lovely focus!
That's such a great perspective, thank you. I think it will definitely be a good feeling knowing that both boys are settled and doing what they love. Here's hoping anyway
Yay - and welcome to Substack. I just started by typing 'knitting' into the search bar here and seeing what came up. I also follow/subscribe to a few crafty folk here. If you scroll to the bottom of the Everyday Knitter page here you can see other publications that I read - there are quite a few knitters in there to get you started - hope it helps

I always find something or someone new here. It's a really energising place to spend a coffee break or two
Love this reflection on Substack vs socials. It really does feel like the warmer of the two ✨
Absolutely. Long may it continue
That is a fun color combo for those socks.
I love how chill Substack is to other places.
It's really cheerful isn't it
Love the vibes here in Substack. And that's a beautiful sock.
Thank you, and yes, Substack feels like a really calm oasis right now.

Love the socks. I'm never sure of the colour ways in this range, but they do seem to work out ok.My post tomorrow is a knitty one!
I don't think I've had a bad Birds one yet to be honest
lol. Love the socks. These days, even if I have seen them before I won’t remember lol
This is an excellent phrase, and I will be using it. Thank you!
The sharing of life in and around craft by others, is what I enjoy here on Substack. Warm thoughts abound! Lovely bright and cheery socks :)
Agree, so loving Substack. Nice to read long views that aren’t about banging a single drum and to see so many different interests.
Oh yes to this, Louise, I’m here for warm thoughts every day.
