Thank you for the recipe. I have let the adults in my family know that we won't be buying Christmas gifts this year but I could at least make them some gingerbread.
Thank you for the Gingerbread recipe - Darina Allen is the Irish Delia, so I know this will be good. We’re not having a Christmas cake this year, so this will do instead!
I love the Robin in a Fir Tree yarn! I'm knitting up my stash at the moment - an aran slipover that I have knit before and is so warm and lovely I'm going for another.
Thanks for the blanket links with some great uTube videos for double knitting and cast-on how-tos. I can see why you are having trouble choosing! I have been known to use the old trick of writing the choices on bits of paper, throwing them in a hat and doing whichever one I draw out. Of course, you have to make a deal with yourself that you will stick with whichever one you draw!! That's a lesson in self-discipline that is not such a bad thing to have learned. I sometimes use this method for housekeeping tasks. 🙂 And I sometimes add a note with a treat! 🤗
Ah I’m definitely feeling not-quite-festive… we’re just wrapping up a week of celebrations for hubby’s 60th and for some reason I can’t start anything Christmas related until after his birthday at the best of times!
That said we do keep it super simple, we don’t really do presents and have the most easeful break you can imagine so I’m very chilled. And looking forward to it all very much too!
Ahh cinnamon, such a delightful spice. I can totally appreciate you adding it to everything you can :) Gorgeous sock yarn with the theme of the festive season. Looking forward to the sock spam!
Love the double knitted blanket pattern!
It's a good one isn't it. Looks really warm and cosy

It tastes even better if you wrap it for a week before eating, but that takes pretty strong willpower
I noticed it makes two loaves. I’ll hide one away! 😁

It's really, properly treacley. By far the best recipe I've tried.

You've reminded me to put a can of squirty cream on the shopping list :)
Life is always better with squirty cream :)

Aha, I love the idea of adding little treats. That's the kind of incentive that might just work for me.
Adore that sock wool. I have read Lessons in Chemistry and it is very good, also sure a Christmas read would be lovely ☺️

Love the sock yarn colours! I’ve nabbed a copy of Lessons in Chemistry from
the local charity shop. I’m in denial about Christmas till after Solstice. Plenty of treats, knitting and the log burner till then.
