I am also a polygamous knitter and can't imagine working on a single project at a time. I'm also ADD. My sister is OCD and strictly monogamous with her knitting. I've never been successful at tracking my knitting and never know what to say when someone asks how long it took me to knit something. Maybe I should try your method!

Time is a weird concept when it comes to knitting isn't it. People frequently ask how long something took to make, but I don't really measure knitting time in minutes/hours. It's more about how it makes me feel if that makes sense.

Now that I can knit while watching TV, one of my time markers is how many episodes it took. 😂

This year, I have a little journal where I've been tracking monthly writing and knitting projects as well as marking on the calendar the days I do either. With the year almost up, looking back, it feels great to see how much I got done.

I have an on -the-go project attached to my purse and and on-the-couch project for knitting time at home, and that one is generally a sweater or large project. Variety is the spice of life. Plus I refuse to wait without knitting, but I don’t want to bring my sweater in progress with me everywhere.

I like the idea of a tracker, so I might add that to my bullet journal. I appreciate the offer of the download, I just need it to be attached to something I already use, or it will just add to my clutter. I knit to avoid cleaning.

Yes to this! I just started habit tracking I find it works brilliantly when you have lots going on, coupled with brain fog 😳

I'm not a knitter but I love crocheting! I started to really get into it a few months ago and I just finished my first sparkly crochet sock and I feel really proud of myself for accomplishing this cozy feat!

I'm like this with books, Louise, always have a few on the go at the same time depending on my mood. Similar with writing too - so many ideas and drafts that I dip in and out of. So interesting that it's a habit you have with knitting too! Habit tracking is so useful, isn't it? I've tired apps before but I prefer the paper method too. ☺️

I'm the same with books too. I usually have three on the go!

Thank you so much for the shout out, it gave me the warm and fuzzies. 🤗

Add me to the list of polygamous knitters (also polygamous crafters really). I absolutely need to have different kinds of projects going to have things to match my mood, and also mental bandwidth. I make sure to always have something that's straight stockinette (preferably in the round) for when my brain shuts down! I panic if I sit to knit at the end of the day, and all I have is picking up stitches for a sleeve. 😅

Ahh habit tracking is an excellent idea. It's the habit of actually doing the tracking I struggle with :)
