Summer returns with a vengeance
Re the sunflowers, there’s this lyric in There It Goes by Maisie Peters which I love:
I'm back in London
I'm running down Columbia Road
They're selling sunflowers cheap
I'm reading novels
I'm dating but just dating for sport
I'm getting coffees for free
I hang all my art
And I dance with the coven
As the rain falls hard on the street
And I, I'm doing better
I made it to September
I can finally breathe
Oh wow, yes. This perfectly sums up that September feeling doesn't it. Thank you.
Ooh how delightful, sunflowers and sock knitting. :)
Walking around with a 10lb furnace strapped to my chest so all thoughts of knitting are far far away. I've never been so glad for ice pops! Hoping it cools back down soon
Oh no, sending sympathies - and all the ice pops your way.
I love him to pieces but gosh is he toasty!
A few more weeks and you'll be glad of his insulation :)
It was a toasty week here in Upper Michigan. Luckily, we hadn't pulled the AC so we kept the apartment cool and that enabled me to keep knitting.
We've suffered from similar weather in New England this week, so I feel you. Definitely making better progress on the little things.
