I know that a number of folk appreciate the accountability of doing in front of others, whilst others find the notion of others watching very distracting. I like the idea of it more than maybe the reality of doing it!
My favorite day of the week is my in person knit group day. It was something I was dreaming of doing in retirement and I was lucky enough to find a group that I fit right in with. I would be interested in a virtual knit group. I'm in the US, so timing could be challenging, but it could be loads of fun.
Back when I was regularly knitting I really liked the Gideon method! Now I’m embroidering and those projects are small enough that I don’t find I get startitis in the same way.
I think the coworking-via-Zoom thing has a lot in common with ‘body doubling’, and the fact that I used to find myself at my most productive when I’d work in the university library, surrounded by other people who were also working. Today, I scratch that itch through writing in coffee shops. (Somehow, being in the office doesn’t always have the same effect on me, which is inconvenient).
Lovely read Louise! Was a pleasure to connect this week. LOVE love LOVE the socks!! For someone who wants to get back into knitting what would you recommend next of yours to read? 🧶

You've hit the nail on the head there. It might be a bit Marmite-ish and we'll either love it or hate it.
I love the idea of a co-knitting-session! Could be so cosy:)

I was hugely proud of myself for knitting a pair of socks in lockdown, only to find that one was bigger than the other!
