💬If you weren't a knitter what would you be?

I know that not everyone here is a knitter so please feel free to insert your own crafty pursuit of choice into the title.

But it’s an interesting question isn’t it. Many of us have been knitters for such a long time that it is part of our identity. It’s hard to think back to when we didn’t knit or consider ourselves to be a knitter.

Creativity is an amazing thing though and it tends to find it’s way out into so many other creative outlets. I find that I knit less when I’m on holiday in the Lake District for example. I am still being creative - through photography and writing mainly - but the creative urge to knit seems to abate a little as I’m busy doing other things.

I have always had a huge admiration for those folks who can play a musical instrument. Unfortunately I am tone deaf and I never got the hang of reading music, to the eternal frustration of my music teacher. But I have such huge admiration for those who can create music.

To be able to evoke such a spectrum of emotion through music is such an amazing gift - and one I would love to have if such a thing were possible.
