If you love stationery and a bit of joyful post (who doesn’t?) then relax. You are in the right place.

✨ The Everyday Knitter PenPal Project is back for the third year running!

Last year, we had 35 women from 8 countries join the PenPal Project and it would be amazing to see how many we get to sign up this year. Connecting with each other in a real, tangible way outside from our computers and online life.

🌿This year, for something a little different I thought we could write our letter, with a few little snippets about ourselves, but also write out a short poem or quote to include. It doesn’t need to be long, just something heartfelt that has always spoken to you and that you’ve carried with you.

What do you think? I would love to welcome you into our PenPal circle. It’s small, friendly, and quietly wonderful. Don't miss out—sign-ups are open now and places will be limited so we can keep it cosy.

💌 Ready to join in?

Some very simple rules

  • You need to be a paid member of the Everyday Knitter community here (details below)

  • Sign ups close on Monday June 1st and you’ll get an email shortly afterwards which will tell you whether you are a sender or a recipient*.

  • If you are a sender, you’ll be given a name and address and you’ll then send them a short hand written letter. It can be as personal, whimsical or down to earth as you like. It can even be a postcard from where you live, if you prefer.

  • Recipients will wait to receive their letter and will then reply to that person in a similar vein.

  • You are under no obligation to continue the letter exchange after this short project concludes but obviously if you have made a PenPal friend I’d be thrilled if you carried on.

*you can specify whether you want to have a PenPal within your own country to keep costs down or whether you are happy to post anywhere.

If you are a paid member of the Everyday Knitter community please scroll down to access the sign up link. If you aren’t a member yet we’d love to welcome you in. You’ll also get access to my full archive here, to member-only chats, exclusive posts and free knitting patterns to make you smile.
