For todays short live I was musing on something called The Invisibility Tax. A fancy way of saying that showing up online, in any form, comes with a kind of penalty.
In my case it manifests as chronic overthinking. I’m not too bad with the written word (although I have my moments) but too often my own thoughts and hang ups get in the way of me showing my face and speaking online.
And I’m trying to change that, slowly and by degrees.
Hence my short Thursday Lives from the comfort of my car. Well - I say comfort - it’s currently 30c and so my car is more like a little incubator when I turn the engine off.
Another good reason to keep the session short 🤣
