Hi Louise, this is so beautiful and very wise.. I love that your son was able to support you and has obviously absorbed some wonderful empathy and communication skills from his fabulous mum. Nice one! 👍🥰

How utterly gorgeous, and reflective of your parenting, that your eldest cared for you at a low time x

Snacks. Boys are all about the snacks. Give them snacks and they will come.

It’s notable how long food lasts now that it’s just me and my husband. Although we are stocking up in advance of the Christmas invasion.

it's when they can support you with your wobbles that you know you've done a good job! I was upset about something recently and Jake gave me a hug, told me that I had done my best and that if other people couldn't see that, that was their problem not mine and that I was a great person - bless him! Snacks, snacks... I bought about 16 bananas yesterday and he ate about 8 of them in just over 24 hours...he's in his homemade smoothie era!

Oh my goodness, that’s so kind. I remember hearing my younger son checking in with a friend who was struggling during the Covid lockdown and thinking how awesome his generation are. They really pull together to support each other and I genuinely think the future is in good hands.

My sons are just under two years apart and my older son is a high school senior. We are looking at universities and this time has been especially hard on me! I genuinely enjoy my sons and have had fun during their teenage years! Thank you for sharing what you have learned and I wholeheartedly agree about the snacks! Also encourages their friends to come over, which I also enjoy 😉
