To be fair I think that headphones are probably a good idea all year round 😂

I love this game but I feel like some people have taken it a bit far, berating DJ’s for playing ‘that song’ and getting really uppity about being out. It’s part of the fun isn’t it? I had roofers in with their radio blaring and thought I’d be definitely out but no! Went up to London and fortunately got a knockoff version so still not out! Hurrah. But I wish people would just play for the simple joy and silliness of it! Enjoy and may the best woman win!!

This is very true. Some DJs have taken to issuing spoiler alerts because of complaints which is taking things a bit far. As you say, it's supposed to be a light-hearted bit of fun.

Amazingly I’m still in the game! This is a record for me. Local pubs and cafés here seem to be going for a jazzy retro feel this year so I’ve lost count of how many times Santa kissed Mommy or the tree has been rocked around. It’s really quiet refreshing!

I'm still in too. I think this might be a personal best 😂

Two years ago my husband accidentally Whammed me on Dec 1st for all 3 games at once with a playlist of his. (People in the US also play this game with "All I Want for Christmas" or "Little Drummer Boy" too. ) This year I was out of the house when he played it, so I was spared until a couple days ago when we were out at dinner. Oh well. It was a good run. 😀

That's so interesting. I didn't know about the US version of the game until today. How funny.

I got whammed at Thanksgiving dinner, so it was over just as soon as it began for me this year.

Oh no. Over before you'd even properly begun

It's the first time I heard about Whammageddon.😂

I already miserably lost because every time my family bakes Christmas cookies together we listen to at least the nightcore rock version of Last Christmas.😂🎄

I’ve used headphones in the supermarket so as to avoid That Song. Not taking it too seriously at all 😂

I was whammed by BBC News at 10 last night! Couldn't even tell you what the segment was actually about now 😂

I got Whammed as I got off the train after a fairly nightmare journey home from London last week - but it’s meant I have been listening with reckless abandon all week!

I'm never anywhere I hear Christmas music (work from home, shop online etc) so this is a slam dunk for me. Beats the days I worked in a Mall when I'd lose in 10 minutes.
