Thanks for the shout-out! One of my favorite knitting newsletters here is While I was knitting (https://craftdoodling.substack.com/) by Kavitha Raman. She consistently helps me think about this fascinating craft in a new way.
Aww, thank you. I am trying to spruce things up a little over there but I’m amazed at how many adverts there are now. It feels like a lot more than there used to be.
A few of the wonderful people you mentioned are part of THREADSTACK and I hope to connect with many more! I'm starting to share interviews with knitters/crocheters/quilters/sewists/etc next week there and it's already been so inspiring to connect with my fiber arts people in this way. https://threadstackcommunity.substack.com
You are absolutely right! And great idea to pick up the needles instead of picking up the phone - I need to do it more often, too. Thanks for the list of knitters to check out! :)
Ooh thank’s for the mention ☺️ and what a great list. I’m definitely bookmarking this one for future reference. Totally agree with the plan of crafting instead of scrolling. I’m trying to break the habit of aimlessly looking at Instagram when I pick up my phone too. Definitely as waste of good knitting time!
What a fabulous inventory of knitting Substacks! I switched to crocheting years ago bc I was too lazy to carry twice the equipment (one hook vs. two needles), haha. I may have to switch back just to try all of these fine ideas out! Do you have a "How to Return to Knitting After Crocheting for Too Long" guide? Or perhaps a "The Prodigal Knitter" post?

I was going to say this. Love her!
I will be mentioning this post in my blog tomorrow. So much doom scrolling. I'd rather knit but I also have deadlines to meet.

Oh, thank you so much. I really appreciate that ❤️

I love the colours you’ve used for your socks - they go so well together!

oh great point. And knitting/crocheting/cross stitching is so addictive in it's own right. I can't stop once I've started! so like, doom knitting.
